Listening test
Part 1. About the public drug administration scheme offered by the government, an initial call for inquiry and booking.
Questions: filling in blanks.
Part 2. About an island resort, its features and how to make a booking.
Questions: filling in blanks, diagram/map labeling.
Part 3. A teacher talked about a web-based writing school. She explained about the structure of the website and its different modules.
Part 4. A lecture about windmill farms in Australia, mostly about turbines, their design and functionality.
Reading test
Passage 1. A list of six concerts with a brief description of each.
Questions: match headings to paragraphs.
Passage 2. New ways to overcome flood problems.
Questions: multiple choice, True/False/Not Given.
Passage 3. An essay about George Washington, his marriage, civic and political life.
Questions: multiple choice, match headings to paragraphs.
Writing test
Writing task 1 (a letter)
Your neighbor keeps his/her animal in the garden. Write to him/her about it and the inconvenience it causes you and your family.
In your letter
– Say what the problem is
– Explain why it causes inconvenience
– Suggest a possible solution to it
– Say what actions you might take if the need arises.
