Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– Do you often go to shopping centres?
– What do you usually buy when you go shopping?
– Have shopping centres changed in recent years? How?
– Do you prefer shopping in big malls or small local shops? Why?
– What is your favourite shopping centre, and why do you like it?
– Do you think online shopping will replace shopping centres in the future?
– How do shopping centres benefit the local economy?
– Do you enjoy window shopping? Why or why not?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a useful skill that you learned from an elderly person. You should say

– what the skill is
– who taught it to you
– how you learnt it

and explain why this skill is useful to you.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– What are some common challenges elderly people face?
– How can young people help the elderly in their daily lives?
– Do you think families should take full responsibility for caring for elderly relatives? Why or why not?
– How can governments support elderly people in society?
– Do you think elderly people today have a better or worse quality of life compared to the past? Why?
– How can technology make life easier for older people?
