Our Italian student LS recently took IELTS and remembered the following questions from his Speaking test:
Speaking test
Part 1 (Interview)
– Which subject was the most challenging for you at school?
– How did you deal with challenging subjects in school?
– What challenges do you think you will face in the future?
– Do you know any of your neighbours?
– How often do you interact with your neighbours?
– Do you think it’s important to have good relationships with neighbours? Why?
– What are some common reasons people find it difficult to meet their neighbours?
– Would you like to get to know your neighbours better in the future?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a time when a person made a special meal for you. You should say:
– who the person was
– when it happened
– what the meal was
and explain how you felt about it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– Do you think it’s good to teach children how to cook from a young age? Why or why not?
– How can cooking skills benefit children when they grow up?
– What challenges might we face in ensuring the sustainability of food production in the future?
– What role can technology play in making food production more sustainable?
– Are people more concerned about what they eat now compared to the past? Why do you think so?
– How can governments encourage people to adopt healthier eating habits?
