Speaking test
Part 1 (Interview)
– What is your full name?
– Do you work or study?
– Where are you from?
– Are there any crowded places where you live?
– When was the last time you visited a crowded place?
– Do you prefer visiting crowded places or quiet places when you go on holiday?
– Do you like eating sweets and cakes?
– Did you like sweets as a child more than you do now?
– On what occasions do people have cake in your country?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Talk about an object you use at home which makes your life easier. You should say
– what the object is
– how long you have had it
– what you use it for
and explain why you couldn’t live without it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– Do you believe that life has been made easier through the use of technology?
– Are there any disadvantages to using technology?
– Why might some people feel unhappy when new technology is introduced at their workplace?
– What can employers do to encourage employees to embrace new technology?
– In your opinion, is it easier to develop new inventions today compared to the past?
– What role do you think the government should play in regulating new inventions and technologies?
