Our student took IELTS in Australia quite recently and remembered the following Speaking questions:

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your full name?
– Do you work or study?
– Let’s talk about colours.
– What kind of colours do you like? Why?
– When you go shopping, do you buy things because of their colour?
– What colour car would you like to buy in future?
– Let’s talk about feeling bored.
– Do you often feel bored?
– What do you do when you feel bored?
– Do people nowadays get bored more easily than in the past?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a time when you had to wear a uniform. You should say:

– when you wore it
– who bought it for you,
– what it looked like

and explain how you felt about it.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– What are the benefits of wearing a school uniform?
– Do you think making uniforms compulsory in schools is a good idea?
– In your opinion, should companies require their employees to wear uniforms?
– What role does clothing play in traditional celebrations in your culture?
– Should traditional clothing be preserved and promoted in modern society?
– Do you think fashion trends affect young people’s behaviour and attitudes?
