Speaking test in Sri Lanka

Interview

– What is your full name?
– What shall i call you?
– Can I see your ID?
– Do you work or study?
– Tell me about your first day at work.
– Why was it important?
– Do you like cooking?

Cue card

Describe a place that you visited in the past, you should say:
– Where it was,
– when it was,
– what that place was
– why you remembered that place.

Discussion

– How did you learn history in your childhood?
– What do you suggest the schools should do to improve the learning of history in your country?

Speaking test in Kuwait

Interview
– Can you tell me your family name?
– What do you do?
– Where are you from?

Cue Card

Describe the leisure time activity that you would like to do, please say
– what the activity is,
– how would you do it,
– what are the materials required,
– where would you do it.

Discussion

– Do you think having hobbies are a waste of time?
– Many people feel that hobbies are a waste of time, do you think they are right?
– Children are wasting a lot of time on leisure activities, when they should be concentrating on their studies. Do you think this is right?
– What do you think should be done?

    IELTS Reading passage 1:
    an article related to cosmetic neurology-Questions: True/False, filling in the blanks, Matching headings to paragraphs, what’s the writer’s view (two questions).
    passage 2: little iceage in Europe
    passage 3:don’t remember
    IELTS Writing Task 1:
    Diagrams – a floor plan of a community centre, and a second floor plan showing proposed changes to the community centre. (You would have to compare the 2 diagrams)
    IELTS Writing Task 2:
    Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career, while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
    IELTS Speaking test:
    What is your full name?
    – What shall i call you?
    – Can I see your ID?
    – Do you work or study?
    – Do you like your job?
    – What is the role of animals in your society?
    Cue card:
    describe an old person you know?
    Discussion:
    Role of neighbours in the society and your locality
