Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You found a lost luggage with someone’s belongings labelled with their name and address. Write a letter to the owner. In your letter

– Describe the luggage you found
– Explain where you found it
– Suggest how the owner could get it back.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people think that in order to be successful in business one has to study at university, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your full name?
– Where are you from?
– Tell me about your hometown.
– What do you like in your hometown?
– How long have you lived in your area?
– What changes would you like to see in your hometown?
– Did you have a bag when you were young?
– Do you carry a bag now when you go out?
– Would you be happy if you got a bag as a gift?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a time when you got lost. You should say

– where and when it happened
– how you got lost
– how you felt about it

and explain how you found your way.
