Thanks to our generous subscribers from the UK and Ghana, today we are sharing the writing questions they remembered after taking their tests just a couple of days ago.

Preparation Tip:

Make sure to write your own essay and report under timed conditions, spending no more than an hour in total on both Writing Task 1 and Task 2.

Simulating real exam conditions will help you get better at time management and perform well under pressure.

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your full name?
– Where are you from?
– Where do you live now?
– Where is your neighborhood located?
– What do you like the most about your neighborhood?
– Are there any changes you would like to see in your neighborhood?
– Do you often wear jewellery?
– What type of jewellery do you prefer, traditional or modern? Why?
– In your culture, do people wear certain types of jewellery to specific occasions?
– How do you think jewellery trends have changed in the last 10 years?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a person who helped you. You should say

– who it was
– when and where it happened
– how this person helped you

And explain how you felt about this person’s help.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– What circumstances usually prompt people to ask for help?
– When do you think people hesitate to ask for help? Why do you think that happens?
– Does helping others benefit society as a whole? In what way?
– Are people nowadays more willing to help others compared to the past? Why or why not?
– Are there cultural differences in how people offer help? What are they?
– Is it important to express gratitude? Why or why not?
