Listening testIELTS test in Hong Kong

Section 1. An inquiry about accommodation.
Questions: filling in blanks, multiple choice.

Section 2. A story about the history of tunnel and bridge between France and the UK.
Questions: filling in blanks, match facts to paragraphs.

Section 3, 4. Don’t remember.

Reading test

Passage 1. About pearls in ancient history.
Questions: True/False/Not Given.

Passage 2. Description of a tour guide job.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

Write a letter to the hotel manager about a bad experience you had while staying there. Include the following in your letter:

– Where and when did you stay?
– What had happened?
– Suggest a solution for the situation.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Nowadays young people seek older people’s advice in the same way as in the past. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Include your opinion and relevant examples from your own experience.
