You have recently read a newspaper article about your school friend whom you did not hear about for a long time. Write a letter to the newspaper editor highlighting some article details. Ask for some information about your friend.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Many people believe that spending a lot of money on weddings is fine, while others completely disagree. Discuss both views and give your own opinion and examples.

We were given a bar chart showing the percentage of people (men, women and children) who ate five portions of fruit and vegetables per day in the UK from 2001 to 2008.

Some people think that the advantages of advertising sports products through famous sports players outweigh the disadvantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
