Part 1 (Interview)

Part 2 (Cue Card)

IELTS Writing Test – General Training

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You are going on a trip and need your friend to take care of your children while you are away. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter

– Explain why you need your friend’s help.
– Provide details about the trip.
– Tell them what they will need to do.

Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

In many parts of the world, cultures are becoming more and more similar. Why do you think this is happening? Is this a positive or a negative development?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
