We were given a diagram showing how ceramic pots are manufactured. We had to describe all the stages of pottery making.

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is the name of your hometown?
– Do you live in a house or a flat?
– What is your favourite room in your house?
– What kind of sports do you like?
– Do you watch live sports? Why?
– Do you think today’s parks have changed compared to the past?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Talk about something that helps you save time. Please say

– what it is
– when you use it
– why you use it
– and explain why you believe it helps you save time.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Why don’t people have enough time nowadays?
– Is it necessary for people to relax during the working day?
– How can people achieve better work-life balance?
– Does current technology cause people to waste or save time?

IELTS Speaking test in Bahrain – May 2022

Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your name?
– Can I see your identification?
– Do you work or study?
– Do you live in a house or an apartment?
– What is your favorite area or place in your house/apartment?
– Do you ever get bored?
– What do you do when you feel bored?
– What things are boring to you?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a place you have visited that isn’t in your hometown. Please say

– what place it was
– how you knew about this place
– what people can do there
– and explain how you felt in that place.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Do you think younger people and older people would choose the same places to live?
– Why do young people choose to live in the city?
– What are some of the things to consider when moving to another place or city?
