Firstly, I would like to thank you for your guidance in my essay writing and your blog is very helpful for my IELTS preparation. Keep up the good work. Below is what I can recall from the test. Hope this will be a useful piece of information to all potential IELTS candidates.

Writing test

Task 1 (Letter)
Feedback to local council on tourist facility condition, suggestion on how to improve the situation and why this is important to the people.

Task 2 (Essay)
Nowadays people communicate less among family as compared to the past. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Speaking test

Interview
Do you work or study?
What is the most difficult part of your job?
Would you recommend it to someone? Why?
Do you prefer to send email or to phone?
What kind of emails do you usually receive?
Do you like shopping? Why?

Card
Describe a recent event that made you feel happy. You should say:
– Who was there,
– When was it,
– Where it took place and
– Why did it make you feel that way

Discussion
What make elders happy?
Do you think health is important to elders?
What about wealth?
Why do you think people are happier in the past as compare to present?

IELTS exam in Holland- November 2008 (Academic Module)

Writing test

Task 1 (Report)
There were 3 pie charts about spending of university students. The graphs showed a breakdown of living costs, accommodation, leisure activities, other.

Task 2 (Essay)
People nowadays are changing often their job and place of residence because of their career. In your opinion is this a positive development or a negative development.

What kind of activities you like to do most?
