Speaking test

Interview

– What is your full name?
– Where are you from?
– Describe the place you live in.
– Did you eat fruits and vegetables when you were a child?
– Why do you think fruits and vegetables are important?
– To what extent do you think the electronic messages are a positive development in our life?
– When was the last time you send electronic message and what for?

Cue Card 1

Talk about a conversation that affected your life, please say:
– What was the situation?
– Who did you have it with?
– What happened after that conversation?

Cue Card 2

Talk about a family that you know:
– Describe it.
– How do you feel about them?
– How do they affect your life?

Discussion 1

– What do you think the differences in conversations between men and conversations between women are?
– Do you think that the conversations between women changed compared to those in the past?
– What do you think the benefits of electronic conversations are?

Discussion 2

– What do you think the difference is when grandparents are living with their grandchildren, compared to families that live separately?

IELTS test in the USA – April 2010 (Academic Module)

IELTS test in the USA was shared by M (thanks a lot!) and here are the topics and questions she remembered:

Listening test

Section 1. A person wants to find a job at the university; some information should be filled, name, address, telephone,and previous occupations.
Section 2. About a factory that manufactures cars and its past and present locations.
Section 3. Somebody talking about learning Japanese.
Section 4. The effect of computer games on learning; comparing different theories.

Reading test

Passage 1. A text about Boobies (a kind of bird).
Passage 2. About Charles Babbage.
Passage 3. About the cinema industry.

Writing test

Writing Task 1 (a report)
We had a chart with percentage of land covered with forest in seven different countries, the task was to write a report comparing them.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)
News is playing a vital role in our life today and people are getting much influenced by the news now. Is this a positive/negative development?
