Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your name?
– Do you think fishing as a good hobby? Why or why not?
– Do you like eating fish? Why or why not?
– Is fishing a popular activity in your country?
– Can you describe a famous street in your city or town?
– Is this street easy or difficult to cross? Why?
– How has traffic changed on the streets where you live?
– Do you think your city’s streets are safe for pedestrians?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a place where you saw a wild animal. You should say

– where this place is
– when you went there
– what animal you saw there

and explain how you felt when you saw the wild animal.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Would you recommend the place you mentioned to a friend? Why?
– Is it easy to find wildlife in your country?
– Do you think zoos are important for educating children about animals?
– Should parents take their children to the zoo? Why or why not?
– What are the benefits of zoos for animals?
– How can we protect wildlife in their natural habitats?

You received a letter from a retired couple you know, informing you about their intention to visit your city. Write a letter to them. In your letter

– Suggest what they can do in your city
– Recommend a place where they could stay
– Advise them on what to pack for their trip to your city.

Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Robert and Mary,

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Scientists believe that computers will become more intelligent than humans in the future. Some people think this as a positive development, while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
