Reading test

Passage 1. Instructions to local residents from a water supply company.

Writing test

Writing Task 1 (a letter)

You are planning to join a part time course and have come to know about an organization that can sponsor your studies. Write a letter to the head of the organization mentioning

– your educational background and work experience,
– how the organization can help you to do this part time course,
– what is the benefit of doing this course.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Some people think that international sports events create problems for the hosting country and they are a waste of time and money. Do you agree or disagree with this view?

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a report)

The task was to describe two pie charts, the 1st showing the types of foreign language training taken by employees (part time in the evening was dominating with 38%) and the 2nd showing the reason for learning a foreign language (holiday travel was the dominating reason with 45%).

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Rich countries should not employ skilled labor from poor countries, as the poor countries need the workers more. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
