Speaking test

Part 1 (Interview)

– What is your name?
– Where are you from?
– Do you like to read books?
– Do you enjoy reading the news?
– Why do you think news is important?
– What things made you excited when you were a child?
– Do you know your neighbours?
– Do you like meeting them on the street? Why?

Part 2 (Cue Card)

Describe a person who is a role model for young people. You should say

– who this person is
– what qualities they have
– how they became a role model

and explain why they are a good role model for young people.

Part 3 (Discussion)

– Why do you think having a role model is important?
– Is it good for people to have a positive role model?
– What kinds of people are famous in your country?
– In what ways can popular people influence others?
– Why do you think film stars are particularly popular?
– Is it easier for people to become famous these days? Why or why not?
– How has social media influenced the way people become famous?
