Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You have recently attended a 90th birthday party of a close relative. It was successfully organised by hotel staff. Write a letter to the manager and say

– Describe the event.
– Talk about the facilities provided to guests, especially the elderly.
– Mention a particular employee whose service was great.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Some people spend a lot of money attending cultural or sports events. Is it a good or a bad thing? Give your opinion and examples from your own experience.

We were given four pie charts in total showing two different services provided by a university and a comparison between the number of full-time and part-time students using both services.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

The old tradition of a family having a meal together is disappearing. Why do you think is this happening? How does it affect individuals and the community?
