Section 1. A conversation in a pet shop between a lady and a sales person.

Section 2. A talk about musical instruments.

Section 3. A diagram of an auditorium explained.
Questions: diagram labeling.

Section 4. A lecture about the impact of cities and towns on the environment.

Reading test

Passage 1. About pepper and its origin.
Questions: True/False/Not Given, match headings to paragraphs.

Passage 2. A lecture about leadership.
Questions: filling in blanks.

Passage 3. Information about hospital registration for new residents in the UK.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

Write a letter to your friend about a book that you have read recently. Include the following in your letter:

– Describe the book.
– Why do you want him/her to read it?
– Tell him/her how to get the book.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Measures have been put in place to improve road safety by reducing the speed limits. Some people believe there are better alternatives. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
