Cue Card

Describe an interesting animal, please say

Discussion

IELTS tests in Australia, Malaysia and Brunei – May 2010 (Academic Module)

IELTS tests in Australia, Malaysia and Brunei were the same, so I am told by quite a few people, and here is what they collectively remembered:

Listening test

Section 1. A phone conversation about a gym.
Section 2. Two lecturers discussing a Japanese professor’s visit to the university.
Section 3. London’s Architecture.

Reading test

Passage 1. Facts about otters.
Passage 2. About human’s mental ability for orientation in strange places.
Passage 3. The history of the British architecture.

Writing test

Writing Task 1 (a report)

Compare two maps of a village that was changed by tourism over time, one map (A) from 1995 and the other (B) of the village at present.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Many young people nowadays graduate from schools with negative attitude. Why do you think this happens? What can be done to solve or reduce this problem?

Speaking test

– What do you think about the kind of fashion people in your country like?
