Two IELTS test takers from Vietnam and Qatar shared their exam questions, and it seems their writing questions were identical. Below is the information they remembered:

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You have recently read a newspaper article about your school friend whom you did not hear about for a long time. Write a letter to the newspaper editor highlighting some article details. Ask for some information about your friend.

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Many people believe that spending a lot of money on weddings is fine, while others completely disagree. Discuss both views and give your own opinion and examples.

Cue Card

Talk about an item you received via mail, that arrived damaged. Please say

– What and when was it?
– Why was it damaged?
– How did you feel about it?

Discussion

– How important was the item to you?
– Did you try to get in contact with the sender?
– Did you try to repair the item?
– What happened in the end?
– How did you feel about it?

IELTS Results competition winners in October 2018

Today is a great day, because we get to congratulate 7 winners on their IELTS success. All those nights spent going through the books, doing practice tests and working on grammar and vocabulary are finally over; now a much more exciting chapter in their lives begins!
