IELTS test in Colombia – December 2014 (General Training)

An IELTS test taker from Colombia (thanks, G!) remembered the following information about a recent IELTS exam:

Section 1. A ranger was giving instructions to people who were going to a park. She talked about parking, what to bring, activities and so on.

Section 2. A teacher was explaining to his students about confidential policies, patents, copyright rights and so on.

Section 3, 4. Don’t remember.

Reading test

Passage 1. There were different publications intended for tourists, talking about different attractions such as parks, a farm and an old ship. These publications helped visitors understand how people spent their time traveling many years ago an so on.

Passage 2. About ants and their roles in a colony (the queen, workers, soldiers and so on).

Passage 3, 4. Don’t remember.

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You have seen a man a few days ago in your local park, causing damage. Write a letter to the park management and say

– What did you see?
– Who are you?
– What do you think should be done about it?

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Some people think that modern technology has more negative effects on our lives than positive ones. Do you agree or disagree? Give your opinion.

Interview

– What is your full name?
– Can I see your ID?

– Why did you choose this career?

Cue Card

Describe a primary school that you went to. Please say
